Arnold Schwarzenegger signed Senate Bill 'SB 250' into law on October 13, 2007. SB 250 amends Section 1749.5 of the Civil Code to allow any gift certificate with a cash value of less than $10 to be redeemed for cash. It also changed the allowance of expiration date on food product issued gift cards to only for 'perishable' food product.
